PDF 12th century.co ✓ Deep Water PDF · deep free, water book, Deep Water ePUBPeter Corris was awarded the Australian Crime Writer's Association of Australia's Ned Kelly Award for best novel in 2009 for his Cliff Hardy private eye novel DEEP WATER And it's easy to understand why The plot is pitch perfect with corrupt politicians greedy corporations sex a shoot out and a bunch of intrigue and even a little romance Cliff Hardy's narration is sturdy with solid pacing and an ideal inside view of Sydney's seamier underbelly

PDF 12th century.co ✓ Deep Water PDF · deep free, water book, Deep Water ePUBI've read a few of Corris's books in the Cliff Hardy series but never made an attempt to pick them up in order Part of the reason for that is that the library never seems to have them all but also because they work well as stand alones Hardy is a what I would consider a traditional private eye retired cop tough as nails with a tender side he solves cases with foot leather and healthy dose of luck In Deep Water Hardy is recuperating from a massive heart attack and surgery and has been stripped of his licenc

I an Sydney born and bred and know well the parts of Sydney that this story traverses Hardy does incorporate fictional geographical locations with factual placesHaving his adult daughter in the story adds a new dimension to Cliff’s character and personality Cliff is no Jack Reacher and age is catching up with his physical capabilities but he still manages to survive the physical brutality that comes with the jobEnjoy

It read like Peter Corris was spinning it out because he needed some pocket money If I hadn’t read most of his previous Hardy novels I might have been appreciative but yeah skip this one
